I'm thinking murel a painting for a friend in the room with their children, what kind of paint is ideal?

I need the cheapest option they still look good. Can use regular house paint and then add details with acrylic?

You can use interior paint with touches of acrylic latex, but you may be looking at a difference in the acrylic finish (flat vs. gloss latex paint). You can mix in some gel satin through the acrylic before painting to fix this – you can find almost any part of this that sell art supplies. If for some reason, it is necessary wash the wall with the mural with regularity, it is best sealed with a clear acrylic sealant – usually available in a spray can, but, of course, take all day and cover the ground and the other walls before sealing. If you will be treated like any normal wall in the house, there is no need to seal it.
