how to fill a plate with light switch fabric?

I have seen the light switch plates covering the material from them. Now the material is hard and shiny and are also washable, nontoxic and flame proof. to use what ever type of fabric to create these beautiful pieces. Can anyone tell me how to do that? I would like to make some. Thanks in advance for the help a lot of good suggestions here. One thing is to add the material looks like it has been protected with some kind washable transparent coating. you can tell that the cloth was then put something on top so that it can be washed if soiled. when you touch it you can not tell who was a cloth.

Size light switch in the back of the fabric and cut the fabric of a quarter inch larger than the cover. Spray the front the switch with spray adhesive – preferably a fabric that can be found at any local fabric store, Wal-Mart or other craft store. Material adheres to the deck and back, apply adhesive to the back deck of ninety degrees and cut notches in the corners of the cloth. Fold the fabric back over the plate and join the queue. Once everything is dry, cut an X from corner to corner of the opening of the switch and again fold into the back of the plate with an adhesive. You may not use material thick when doing this and you will see the screw that holds the lid in place. If you do not want to see the screws, hot glue the switch in the wall around the switch with care not to get glue into the wiring. If you need to remove the cover when you are stuck up, just poke a spoon in the corner and lever forward. The curvature of the part of back of the spoon to avoid damaging the wall. Much better than using a screwdriver or lever.
